Using “Placeholders” to Manage Completed Work and Posting Dates

In my busy life as a book reviewer, author, and copywriter, I often have tasks that are finished well before their deadlines, like writing a review for a blog tour. Once the review is done, I create a “placeholder” in my planner or calendar.

A placeholder isn’t about the work itself; it’s the specific day I need to post the review, across platforms. This way, even though the review is ready, I won’t miss sharing it on the exact day assigned by the tour.

It’s a simple system that keeps my schedule organized and stress-free, making sure completed tasks get the attention they deserve on the right day.

How do you keep track of deadlines and posting schedules for your projects? I’d love to hear your strategies!
